Hello.

If we met at a dinner party, and you asked, I might say…

I work in advertising.
I might also say I’m a writer.
I’ve definitely worked for brands you know.
Certainly, I’ve toiled and failed at just as many companies you’ve never heard of.

If pressed, I’d probably say…

Before my gig at Rocket, I was helping to make it okay for folks in America and the UK to get “the jab” as Head of Creative at Walgreens/Boots.

Before that, I was helping to integrate two massive brands: CVS and Aetna.

Before that, I was leading global teams at DAS/Omnicom.

Before that, I was developing award-winning ideas at Publicis.

Before that, I was pitching jokes as a sitcom writer.

Before that, I was launching breakthrough digital experiences at Sapient.

Before that, I was learning how to make cool stuff at Staples and Timberland.

Before that, I was painting things professionally.

Before that, I was painting things illegally.

Before that, I was… well actually I don’t remember what I was doing before that, but I’m sure I was an adorable little guy asking a lot of questions

Leave room for being humans.

There are too many screens.
Too many distractions.
Too many messages.
Not enough meaning in the world.

Tech is amazing. I genuinely love the infinite possibilities AI presents. But I will always make space for humans. Until the robots say otherwise, I plan to keep giving people something to care about.

Simplicity is genius. BUT It is not easy.

Don’t rest until you’ve achieved the most simple form. Subtract. Subtract. Subtract.

Obsess over making things better.

Avoid defaulting to "good enough." The world is filled with enough meh. Don’t be responsible for slop.
